Diabetes Mini Post 001
Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 8:33AM Weird thing happened to me last night with my blood sugar and my nerve endings.
We diabetics can tell if something is awry since our nerve endings start tingling in our hands and feet and our eyes can feel a little pressure. That’s what happened around 9pm and it really worried me about the Metformin I had been taking.
I did a stupid thing by starting the raw chocolates 3 times per day and stopping the Metformin cold turkey. I should have reduced to 1 pill twice per day. I have restarted using this dose and will continue with my super food, organic, and lean food servings until things get better. But back to last night.
I was very angry since all the food I have been eating is good and my serving sizes kept small. I thought about it and I want to pose the question:
Was Metformin created to keep you taking it forever by designing a withdrawal mechanism?
Every day I do Qi Gong in the morning and yoga at night. At lunch my friend and I take a short walk or do Ba Gua circles sometimes. I eat well and take supplements (including 3 servings of raw chocolate) yet after 4 days without Metformin I get a bad reaction like I did last night.
Enough complaining, here’s what I did. I remembered that a combination of L-Carnitine, Alpha lipoic acid and biotin would push all the free radicals out of my system so I took 1,500mg, 1,000mg, and 2mcg respectfully with a glass of crystal light and when I woke up at 5am my blood sugar was 148 which for me is good. I learned this by studying the diabetic forums.
Is this the answer?
Can you just take too many things?
Or is my theory about designer medicine correct?
Just want to lay it out there.
Thanks for reading!
Bill

I don't think stopping any med cold turkey is a good idea. You have to let your body adjust to getting rid if it, just like it had to adjust to taking it in. Hopefully, your experiment is successful!
