Dancing With the Universe
Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 11:45AM I know there is something behind the veil of our senses. What is there, is what we make of it. I have an idea that we are as much a part of that Unknown, as the Unknown is a part of us.
I choose the word idea because having an idea about something is healthier than a belief. A belief is something people die for, break up friendships for, and alienate family members for, and sometimes force on other people. Narrow minded beliefs are dangerous to ourselves and others.
But ideas, even far out ones, are things that can grow in us without rotting our insides. Then if a roadblock presents itself in that idea, the open minded individual will find it easier to adjust their idea, test it, and see if there is any value to what they learned.
Coming into work this morning felt as innocent as my first day of high school in 1983 when I walked into the cafeteria of Manchester Central High and heard a juke box blaring ‘One thing leads to another’ by the Fixx-the same song that I happened upon while scanning Sirius Satellite.
This morning, I felt the same innocence, because as I keep learning something new about myself and the world, I realize I am just a child dancing on my mother’s shoes. You know the feeling. Close your eyes and you can feel her soft hands holding yours while you are on her shoes moving around while some album-in my case a Latin American one-plays a melody you always remember because it means so much to you. For me that melody is about hip shaking and dancing for long periods of time.
For most, the relationship you share with the world and the universe around it is not yet understood. For some people, the idea of reaching enlightenment is something they want so much because they are looking to get away from this world. Pure enlightenment can be dangerous. The idea that you can escape this world and all of your troubles at will becomes centered in your mind until you believe it is happening; separating you from reality. That can mean a lot of pain and anguish like becoming homeless, drug use, severe mental challenges or just a complete shutdown of your mind, body, or both until you pass on.
The road I am talking about is an idea that we are connected to the Divine Infinite, to the Earth, to the Moon, and to the Universe around it all. Finding and exercising that connection clears our bodies for healing, maturity, courage, and strength for what will come next-no matter what that may be. When you learn to strengthen that connection for your present reality you begin to really live and exceed your potential.
Every living being on this planet has a life force, a divine spark within it’s body that connects to the ever present Infinite. We as a people are connected through these links to others . The connection is instantaneous like when a mother knows a child is in trouble or has suffered greatly even though the two are very far away. And yet most people have no idea of their power and how just their thoughts alone are powerful enough to change their lives, the lives of the people around them and the world for the better.
"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."
--Martin Luther King, Jr.
"In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual."
--Galileo Galilei
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
--Mahatma Gandhi
One connection I speak of is the energy force Qi. This energy flows through your body into every meridian until it becomes blocked. This blockage is what leads you to become ill, diseased, cancerous, and obese. The energy has been here since the world has been here because I have an idea that Qi is an affect of gravity and the push and pull of the earth, moon, planets, sun, etc. extended to all celestial bodies. You effectively channel this energy when there are no blockages since the salinity of your blood creates polarity like a magnet.
So how do we dance with the universe?
You dance with the universe when you have spent a disciplined amount of time doing some form of internal martial art (qigong, pa kua, tai chi, yoga). Once you are over your discovery period with the basics and remember the moves just by the names your goal is to connect your breathing with the movement with the energy around you (Qi). When it is right you are drifting with control through feelings and energy that makes you feel like you are dancing with the Infinite. (Note: to you this could be your God, Godess, Ancestors, All are welcome)
This is the feeling I am feeling when I practice Wuji Qigong, Chakra Yoga, and sometimes a little Pa Kua. When you connect it is as good or better than many of our enjoyable partnered sports and almost as good as catching a wave at Rye Rocks or for me The Wall when the shore break is almost double overhead.
Getting back on point, for me I am very much the learner but my discovery period is over and I am spending more time keeping my breath perfect and a little less attention to the squeeze of my muscles through every turn, twist or bend.
In every case that I focus on my deep abdominal breathing, I feel a powerful rhythm or dance from my body from the Qi flowing through every meridian and back out into the world. There are times of truly amazing flashes and floods of white light when I close my eyes and twice I would swear the energy from a position called Xun with my two open flat palms near each other that I could see the Qi extending from my hands out almost 8”. I don’t know if it was real or if it was just my desire to see what I am feeling.
That is the biggest problem with living in New Hampshire is that we have no real teachers of this type of devoted daily practice. With so many Chinese living in New Hampshire isn’t there one or two who could start teaching in our parks on a daily basis?
Oh I have the discipline to work my way to the end of the two to three year beginner’s cycle but not the teacher who will correct the many errors I am making.
So now it is time to consider where you are going to be 10 years from now. If you are 40 years old, like me or younger, you have plenty of ramp up time to stop hitting the impact sports or external martial arts and begin the internal. It is really the difference between hiking up mountains when you are 60 or waiting on the knee replacement recovery, skiing at 70 or watching the grass grow. Look around you there are a few healthy looking and hot youngsters who are over 55. I intend to be one of them with energy to spare and grand children to spoil.
Luke, join me and we will destroy the Emperor and rule the…. (wait! wrong post)
Join me and tear down the veil of ignorance and see your true power from within. You are the most powerful being in the universe because your thoughts can project and affect your life, your family and the world around you. Make sure you keep that power benevolent. Keep that in mind when you scold. Keep your teeth together when you are about to criticize and focus positive encouraging thoughts in everything you do. Now get up and breath.

One of my Favorite Vegetarian Dishes:
If you hear the words vegetarian and think yuck! (oh you can see and feel the face you make). I understand. I felt the same way until my wife and some friends started introducing me to dishes that had a lot of flavor and tasted delicious.
The problem is I never have enough time to put together complex meals. The worst part is when I am at the store and I start gathering up all the ingredients and think of them together I don’t want it anymore. I know it’s weird.
So luckily I am 18 miles from a Trader Joes and found these great tasting vegetarian burgers:
Here are the ingredients:
The combination of ingredients are really good especially the way ginger, turmeric, mustard and the other spices combine. Potatoes are the main ingredient and most of you tough guys are meat and potatoes kind of guys (some are rice guys) and will like how this burger has a meaty feel to it.
Can you hear the sizzle?
Now if you have a daughter that likes to put Franks Hot Sauce into the ketchup bottle (about a 1/4 cup) then you will have a great spicy ketchup to go over.
The bread is whole wheat Naan also available at Trader Joes. Now add a slice of moonster ( I know but it is how we say it) and some spinach.
Sometimes vegetarian can be real good. Have fun with these burgers and double up for a pretend Big Mac.

Problem with Xocai Chocolate Challenge:
This has been bothering me lately that I wanted to relate to you.
Without my metaformin I have been able to maintain my blood sugar as if I was on it but at this 4th week I am not seeing a drop yet into the 100 to 110 region I would like to be at.
I enjoy this chocolate immensely and found that I need an extra piece in the evening right before bed so my blood sugar is healthy through the night and it makes my sleep really good. I no longer need a sleep supplement like I used to take. I am not convinced my great night’s sleep is due to the chocolate alone though since my qigong and yoga may have had a serious impact in that area.
This is not a scientific test by all means and I am happy with the results so far. I am going to keep eating the chocolate for one more month and track my performance. If it is just going to maintain a diabetic sugar level and not normalize it then I will not represent this chocolate and divest myself from them completely. There wont be any negativity from my camp but just a silent slipping beneath the waves. I will not represent anything I am not willing to eat myself.
Another issue here is the money they are charging for the product. Some of my leads, and I get 10-20 leads per day from my marketing, feel that it is not worth the cost and will just make raw chocolates from powdered cacao they find in the health food store. A months supply of Cacao, Agave, Coconut Oil and Acai powder is only $65 to make where it is $125/month for Xocai.
As a product and a very tasty treat, I do not feel I wasted any money because my intention was to find a product better than I could make myself while giving me the benefits. I will eat every bar that I get. I cannot believe how much chocolate I have eaten without a single problem in the last month but in the overall scheme of things, I cannot push value that may not be there.
Are you eating Xocai and not selling it because I would love to hear from you.

Very nice post! But I don't agree that all beliefs are dangerous. So my belief in God is dangerous? No. That's a broad statement, isn't it? It's only dangerous if I force my beliefs on others. And I don't ever do that. There are those that do, and they are the dangerous ones.
In any case, I've had these burgers and they're delicious!
