Just Catching Up A Little

I am sorry for the absence but I feel I should not post unless I have something to say. This isn’t ground breaking but I wanted to post a reason for my silence.

You see the thing about taking on big challenges and changes in eating or lifestyle is that they take time.

You really should expect that each week the Earth will move and something glorious is going to happen no matter what the goal is. But the reality is it took my body ten years to get so screwed up and out of shape and it has been 7 years since I knew I had a problem and needed to do something about it. 6 years since I started walking and doing light exercises. 4 since I started taking yoga seriously and knowing my meals had to be smaller and more numerous. 1 year since I realized that milk and meat were hurting me in ways that I could not have imagined and that I like Chinese Qigong. And 6 months since I realized that raw foods, especially vegetables, groats, and whole grains combinations are best for me. ( Even though I am a vegan about 45% of the time)

Now I am doing what I believe is the best thing for me; eating to live instead of living to eat. Am I making progress?

Incredible progress that is moving forward without a plateau but it is slow.

There has never been such a feeling of energy and good health in my body. I have not taken my diabetic meds in a long while and do not want to ever again. This lifestyle has kept my blood sugar right where it is supposed to be.

So I may not be posting in a perfect steady rhythm anymore because I would be repeating a lot of the same progress every week.

I still have 6 inches to lose off my waist to meet my goal and I will get there and shout it to the world when I do.

This great restaurant I found:

The Other Side restaurant, corner of Newbury St and Mass Ave in Boston is my new favorite restaurant. This is a great place to hang out. It has all the atmosphere of a modern pub with college students and other young people parading in and out all day and evening. There are more beers and wine available than I can count on my fingers and toes. And they cook or prepare a wide variety of raw and vegan dishes that are both affordable, large, and absolutely delicious.

My consistent favorite there is the gazpacho which is served cold and it is very creamy and frothy without any dairy products. It comes in a large cup or bowl and served with sliced French bread or tortilla chips. The flavor is incredible. For the entree there are many choices for raw and vegan eaters and I found two that are super filling and delicious.

The first is  a vegan and raw wrap that is about 4-5” in diameter and about 8 inches long that is stuffed with great veggies, homemade hummus, and tempeh bacon.

The second is their simple green salads (there are several ways to have them: raw , vegan, or carnivore) which are anything but simple. There is so much variety of vegetables in their respective piles that cover a whole dinner plate. I am so stuffed when I eat this plate. I also order extra cucumber dill dressing because the flavor is out of this world.

There is so much more to their menu but I want to say, this is one of the few places on Newbury St that I can have appetizer, entree, and dessert for under $25. You just can’t beat it.

Shoot I forgot about desserts. For us vegans and raw foodies, there are vegan cookies like chocolate chip and coconut and then there is the raw chocolate pudding with fresh fruit.

If you are looking for great places to eat well and stay under budget, get to the Other Side. I know you will love it.

So there isn’t much to tell on the more personal side except that I have been writing and living a master plan for my life. I bought and read Outrageous Mastery from Sasha Xarrien and it was a very good story and I believed her 100%. I put to practice immediately and returned what was asked for just as fast. Pretty impressive. This is more that just using your faith or just having faith, it is a step by step action plan to work your faith into a frenzy and direct the Infinite to the exact desire or need you are asking for. I comes with two good length inspirational book and a workbook to immediately put you on the right tract. I love what this woman has helped me with.

Remember if you use these practices that you will get back what you put out so be a blessing to the world instead of a curse and you will be fine.

Thanks for reading.
